Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organised an enriching Educational Trip to Singapore and Malaysia from 24 September to 2 October 2026, providing students with valuable exposure to international education, culture, technology, industry and global perspectives.
A group of 38 students from Classes VI to XII, led by Ms. Gulshan Kaur, Principal, and accompanied by four chaperones—Ms. Neeraj Khurana, Ms. Gurbir Kaur, Ms. Shagun and Mr. Satyawan—undertook this nine-day educational journey. The trip was coordinated by Ms. Sonia Arora, Head of Global Programmes, with the objective of broadening students’ horizons and promoting experiential learning.
A key highlight of the Singapore trip was the students’ visit to the High Commissioner of India in Singapore, where they had an insightful interaction with His Excellency Dr. Shilpak Ambule and participated in an engaging session on India–Singapore relations, diplomacy, sustainability, peace and the role of youth in global affairs. The students also visited the Singapore Science Centre, Marina Bay Sands, the iconic Merlion and the National University of Singapore, gaining valuable insights into science, technology, architecture and higher education.
The Singapore itinerary further included visits to Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa Island and Madame Tussauds, offering students an opportunity to experience Singapore’s remarkable blend of innovation, culture, tourism and sustainable urban development.
In Malaysia, the students explored iconic landmarks including the Petronas Twin Towers, Batu Caves and Genting Highlands, gaining an appreciation of the country's architectural, cultural and geographical diversity. An industrial visit to the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre introduced students to the traditional art of pewter craftsmanship and its evolution into a modern global enterprise. Their visit to Aquaria KLCC further enhanced their understanding of marine life, biodiversity and the importance of environmental conservation.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Gulshan Kaur, Principal, highlighted that such educational journeys help students develop curiosity, confidence, adaptability and global awareness, while enabling them to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.
The students returned with enriching experiences, broader perspectives and cherished memories, making the journey a meaningful step towards nurturing confident, responsible and globally aware young Bhavanites.
