Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula organized a workshop on “Gender Sensitivity” under the aegis of CBSE with the objective of promoting awareness, inclusivity and respect for gender diversity within the school environment. The workshop aimed to equip educators with practical strategies to create safe, equitable and empathetic classrooms.
Teachers actively participated in interactive sessions, discussions and reflective activities that highlighted the importance of gender equality, unbiased classroom practices and the role of educators in shaping responsible and sensitive individuals. The sessions also emphasized aligning classroom practices with CBSE guidelines and fostering a positive school culture.
The workshop was conducted by experienced educators Ms. Shalu Khosla, PGT Computer Science, RIMT World School, Chandigarh and recipient of the State Award (2023) and Ms. Sangeeta Tripathi, Senior Secondary English Teacher and Academic Coordinator at D.C. Montessori Sr. Sec. SMART School. Both resource persons shared valuable insights, real- life examples and practical approaches to address gender-related concerns in classrooms.
The workshop concluded with experience sharing and teachers expressed their commitment to implementing these learnings to create more inclusive and respectful learning environments.
