Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula organized an expert-led workshop “From Play to Abstraction – Progressive Pedagogy for Computational Thinking” with the objective of equipping teachers with innovative strategies to integrate Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into classroom practices.
Teachers participated in interactive sessions, discussions and hands-on activities that emphasized the importance of critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity in primary grades. The workshop highlighted practical approaches to integrate CT in Mathematics, Science and interdisciplinary learning, while aligning with CBSE’s AI and CT curriculum goals.
The workshop was conducted by a distinguished team from Educational Initiatives (Ei) – Mr. Mohan Kumar, Head Academic Consulting, with over three decades of experience in Mathematics education, curriculum design, and EdTech; Ms. Vaishali Yadav, Senior Academic Consultant, known for her expertise in assessment design and integrating CT into classroom learning; Ms. Anushka Gupta, Academic Consultant and SPOC for AI and Digital Thinking, with experience in curriculum development and teacher training; and Mr. Bhavishya Bansal, Lead Academic Consultant, who brings a strong background in engineering and data-driven instructional practices. Their sessions were enriched with real-life classroom examples and practical strategies.
The workshop concluded with reflection and experience sharing and teachers expressed enthusiasm to implement these approaches in their classrooms. The initiative reinforced the school’s commitment to continuous professional development and fostering innovative teaching practices that enhance student learning outcomes.
