Day 2 of NSS Camp: Visit to Fire Station

The second day of the 7-day NSS Camp at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, featured an informative and educational visit to the Fire Station. The NSS volunteers had the opportunity to
interact with fire safety personnel and gain firsthand knowledge about fire prevention, emergency response, and rescue operations.
During the visit, the officials familiarized the students with various firefighting equipment, fire engines and essential safety measures to be followed during emergencies. The volunteers also
witnessed a live demonstration of firefighting techniques and rescue procedures, which highlighted the importance of preparedness, teamwork and prompt action during crisis situations.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Mrs. Gulshan Kaur emphasized the importance of creating awareness about fire safety and disaster management among young citizens. She appreciated the efforts of the Fire Department and remarked that understanding the vital role played by firefighters in safeguarding lives and property helps students develop a sense of responsibility and civic awareness.
The visit proved to be both enlightening and inspiring for the volunteers. It reinforced the NSS motto, “Not Me But You,” by encouraging students to cultivate the values of service, responsibility and preparedness for the welfare of society.
