World Book Day was celebrated at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, with great zeal and enthusiasm, fostering a deep appreciation for reading among students. The NSS volunteers enthusiastically presented reviews of the latest books of their choice, showcasing a wide range of genres and inspiring their peers to explore the world of literature.
A variety of engaging activities were organized, including bookmark making, storytelling sessions, slogan writing and book review writing. One of the highlights was the observance of the “Drop Everything and Read” (DEAR) time, during which both students and staff members paused their routine tasks and immersed themselves in reading.
The activities aimed to cultivate a lifelong love for books and emphasize the importance of reading in personal growth. The Principal, Mrs. Gulshan Kaur, highlighted the need for students to develop the habit of reading. She emphasized that reading not only nurtures imagination and knowledge but also helps students stay away from excessive social media use and supports better mental well-being.
