With an aim to give young Bhavanites an opportunity to understand their rich culture, traditions and values, and reconnect them with their roots with a sense of pride, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula organised a cultural event, ‘Punjabi Virsa- A Joyful Celebration Of Exuberant Culture of Punjab’on Friday, April 21, 2023 in the school Auditorium.

Mr. Anil kumar Sharma, Regional Education Officer (North & North East Zone), Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai graced the occasion with his presence as the chief guest. In the propitious presence of the esteemed members of the school management and worthy Principal, Mrs. Gulshan Kaur, he lighted the ceremonial lamp. Thereafter, the senior school students presented ‘Punjabi’ culture and traditions through an entertaining dance-drama in their unique captivating style. It was a delight to watch the august gathering enjoy Punjabi folk music, songs and dances that were impeccably interwoven in the well-crafted narrative. The play,a collaborative endeavour of students of Film making & Theatre Club, Dance Club & Music Club, garnered admiration and appreciation of all the spectators.

The students of Art & craft club of the school put up an ‘Art Exhibition’ presenting the old world charm of Punjab through pictures, paintings and local handicrafts. The guests and visitors were mesmerised to see the whole ambiance and praised the students highly for their efforts. They congratulated the school Principal for her visionary leadership, and  staff and students for their relentless efforts in making it a huge success.
